Our Clergy

Our Rector 

The Reverend Rob Hartley

    Father Hartley is a graduate of Clemson University, Trinity School for Ministry (Anglican), Ambridge, Pa. and Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary, Columbia, SC.  He is originally from the Charleston, SC area and attended St. Andrews Episcopal Church, Mt. Pleasant before going off to Clemson University in 1966.  Fr. Rob received an electrical engineering degree  and spent 31 years as an electrical engineer and engineering manager for Duke Energy Corporation, Charlotte, NC.

    During those years he and his wife, Nancy, raised two sons and attended St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Fort Mill, SC and Christ Church Lancaster, SC.  As a lay person, Fr. Rob was involved in leadership roles on vestries, in the teaching ministries of the Church, and in spiritual formation ministries such as Cursillo and Faith Alive.  Fr. Rob was also involved in the church’s ministry in the SC Dept. of Corrections (Kairos).  He helped in the establishment of a similar ministry for incarcerated teenagers in SC known as Epiphany.  

    Following ordination in 2003, Fr. Rob assisted at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Columbia and was Vicar of St. John’s Episcopal Church, North Augusta, prior to becoming Rector of The Anglican Church of the Holy Trinity, North Augusta. 

    Fr. Rob and Nancy have two sons, Rob and Jimmy.  Rob lives in Chantilly, Va. with his wife, Sabrina.  They have one daughter.  Jimmy, a priest in the Episcopal Diocese of Upper South Carolina, is living in Columbia with his wife Caroline. They have three children.
